What is a traditional Lapland or Sámi craft?
The Sámi handicraft tradition is called Duodji. It covers functional, handmade objects rooted in Sámi culture: knives, woodware, items in reindeer leather, antler and bone, woven bands and silver jewellery. Duodji is made by hand from natural materials, and its patterns and techniques are passed down within Sámi communities.
